Foreigner Tour Dates 2026: The Official Announcement

Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd officially announced the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour on November 17, 2025.

The news dropped simultaneously across both bands’ official channels and Live Nation’s press room.

The tour name is not an accident.

It fuses Lynyrd Skynyrd’s 1976 track “Double Trouble” with Foreigner’s “Double Vision” – a clever merge that says everything about what this night delivers.

Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson put it plainly in the band’s official statement.

“The energy the band has felt knowing we’ll be touring with Skynyrd this coming summer has been electric,” Pilson said.

“Two bands with plenty of iconic songs, dueling guitars, double trouble and double vision are gonna set each and every stage on fire.”

Lynyrd Skynyrd vocalist Johnny Van Zant matched that energy.

“I’m excited to share the stage with Foreigner and hear all their amazing hits,” Van Zant said.

“Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner together – it doesn’t get much better than that.”

This is also Foreigner’s 50th anniversary year – meaning 2026 carries milestone weight for the band.

The classic rock news community took notice immediately, with fan excitement matching the scale of the announcement.

💡 Did You Know?

Foreigner has sold over 80 million albums worldwide – more Top 10 hits than Journey, and as many as Fleetwood Mac. Their weekly catalog sales have at times eclipsed Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, and Aerosmith, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.

💡 Did You Know?

Foreigner is performing more than 90 shows in 2026 across multiple global legs. That includes a sold-out European run of 26 dates in June and July, covering Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Scandinavia, and Greece – before they even touch down on North American soil for the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour.

Expected Setlists: Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd

Both bands have confirmed these will be full-length, career-spanning sets – not shortened festival appearances.

Foreigner typically runs between 80 and 100 minutes as headliners.

Based on recent touring history, Foreigner’s likely setlist highlights include:

Cold As Ice – the 1977 debut-album opener that still hits like a freight train live

Hot Blooded – a mid-set anthem that reliably shakes the rafters

– Urgent – featuring the iconic Thomas Dolby saxophone solo, still a live concert highlight

– Juke Box Hero – a crowd sing-along every time

– Waiting For a Girl Like You – a moment of genuine tenderness mid-show

I Want to Know What Love Is – the inevitable closer, with the crowd mic’d for that final chorus

Lynyrd Skynyrd typically plays between 90 and 105 minutes as headliners.

Their set will pull from across a catalog that includes Sweet Home Alabama, Free Bird, Simple Man, Gimme Three Steps, and That Smell.

Together, fans can expect nearly three hours of two Hall of Fame catalogs trading off across an amphitheater stage.

Opening Act: Six Gun Sally

Six Gun Sally will open every co-headline date on the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour.

The band brings a hard rock energy that fits the vibe of this double bill.

For Lynyrd Skynyrd’s standalone Florida and Illinois dates, Loverboy will serve as Very Special Guest.

Doors for most amphitheater shows will open 60 to 90 minutes before showtime.

Arriving early means first access to merch and the best parking.

Foreigner’s 50th Anniversary: The Full Picture

2026 is Foreigner’s 50th anniversary year – and the band is treating it accordingly.

The Double Trouble Double Vision Tour is just one piece of a year that includes more than 90 confirmed shows globally.

The year opened with acoustic shows in Beaver Creek, Colorado, followed by an orchestral Las Vegas residency at the Venetian Hotel in March.

A Florida run in April featured special guest appearances by original lead singer Lou Gramm.

A 26-date European run in June and July includes sold-out shows across Germany, the UK, Switzerland, and Scandinavia.

The Double Trouble Double Vision Tour runs through North America from late July through August.

Additional headlining North American dates then extend the tour through November.

There is also a concert documentary to look forward to.

Foreigner filmed “In The Eye of The Storm” on Ellis Island in 2025, with original singer Lou Gramm and surprise guests, set for release in July 2026.

On the vocalist front, former frontman Kelly Hansen stepped away from the band in October 2025 after playing his final shows in Atlantic City.

Guitarist Luis Maldonado – who joined the band in 2021 – has stepped into the lead vocal role for the current touring lineup.

Jeff Pilson described the transition as seamless, telling Ultimate Classic Rock: “Once Luis’s voice was uncovered and we all realized what he had, including Kelly, the future became so clear to us.”

For Lynyrd Skynyrd, the tour comes as the band honors the legacy of late co-founder Gary Rossington, who passed away in 2023.

💡 Did You Know?

Foreigner’s 1977 self-titled debut album features some of the most fully-formed arena rock ever recorded by a new band. “Cold As Ice” and “Feels Like the First Time” arrived together on that record – two future classic rock radio staples on a debut. The band’s 2026 celebrations will extend into 2027, when they mark the 50th anniversary of that debut album’s March 8, 1977 release date.
