Teen Cancer America was co-founded by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who, two of rock’s most enduring advocates for young people battling cancer.
Producer Marc Shea, a journalist and podcaster, assembled the project as a love letter to the Spinal Tap catalog while channeling that love into real charitable impact.
The album arrived in a big moment for the band, released around the same time as “Spinal Tap 2: The End Continues,” the sequel film arriving 41 years after the original 1984 mockumentary.
Every track on the album comes from the Spinal Tap catalog, reimagined by artists who grew up loving these songs as much as any classic rock anthem.
